Jerry Whitehead

Jerry Whitehead is Cree from the James Smith Band in Saskatchewan. He obtained his formal art training in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia and has worked as an exhibition coordinator, workshop leader, illustrator, and teaching assistant. His art focuses on Powwows and dancers. Today, Jerry also produces abstract paintings of vivid color, incorporating family themes and words in his pieces.
